Air kissing is the act of greeting someone by making a kiss-like gesticulation into the air, while rubbing cheeks with each other. It is a typical trademark gesture of modern society, especially in Western countries.
The act of air kiss has been made very popular by the famous celebrities, who have to mix with people whom they do not know very well, in such cases air kiss is the best way to acknowledge the guests.

- Awareness- Be sure that you know when to do an air kiss gesture. Mostly, a formal occasion like parties, reception, office meetings and weddings are the places where the social decorum of air kissing is practiced.
- Observation- Observe other individuals in a party or get-together. See how the host or a friend is greeting various people, if majority of people are into air kisses, you can also follow the same.
